What the program is

Sovereign Soil is a 9 week liberatory mentorship rooted in radical imagination, connection and aligned action for entrepreneurs, wellness and spiritual practitioners, and creatives whether you are building or deepening part time or full time offerings, projects, or businesses.

It recognizes that our work, creativity, and capacity to build are shaped by the systems we live within and that we also hold the power to reshape, undo, and birth pathways for ourselves and one another.

This mentorship supports people in reclaiming agency, clarity, and sovereignty as they bring, or deepen, their offerings into the world.

It centers holistic growth, embodied wisdom, and collective care, creating space to tend both what is being built and who you are becoming.

This is a container for those birthing new realities through their work guided by values, integrity, and a commitment to a world beyond oppression. It is about remembering how to build in alignment with your body, your vision, and your values while being held in community and supported through focus, devotion, and shared practice.

In times that can feel scattered, isolating, and overwhelming, this work centers healing, imagination, and personal agency. It supports creating from sovereignty rather than survival, tending both the inner and outer structures that allow your work to take root and grow.

We will meet live biweekly March 21st-May 23rd. With pre-recorded sessions for you to use at your own pace in the weeks in between to support us in our multimodal realities with more ease.

The application you’ll receive after completing the interest form will have you select which times work best for you out of: Saturdays and Sundays 12-3pm MST or Tuesday, Wednesdays or Thursdays at 12-3pm MST or 5-8pm MST.

If you need a slightly different time than those options but would like to apply please note that on your application. These times are not yet fixed.

There will be one week “off” of May 10th for you to rest, integrate and prep for our closing the following weekend.

Preview of weekly Sovereign Soil path:

  • Orientation, Connection & Arrival

Before we begin, Soraya will connect Kindreds (accountability partners) and welcome the cohort into shared space. You’ll be invited into gentle pre-work and optional readings to support your arrival, grounding, and intention-setting for the journey ahead.

Optional reading touchstones (4-5 books) aligned for throughout the mentorship will be introduced here via email and our group connection space.

  • Reconnect with your gifts, strengths, and values while exploring your relationship to yourself and your community. Learn foundational tools for building work rooted in integrity, reciprocity, and care. This week is about remembering your power and locating yourself within a collective context.

  • Look back to move forward with intention and discernment. Explore inherited wisdom, release what no longer serves, and honor the practices, stories, and gifts you carry forward. This week invites reflection, renewal, and preparation for the next chapter of your journey and our collective journey.

  • Center your creative and spiritual autonomy while exploring nervous system awareness, discipline, and devotion. This week is about reclaiming your body, time, and energy as sacred sites for action and creation.

Bonus workshop on leading and living with intuition to strengthen your internal guidance.

  • Expand your sense of what’s possible for your work, your gifts, and your impact. Explore visionary thinking, decolonized approaches to manifestation, and the power of imagination as a tool for creating aligned, courageous offerings.

Clarify how your work wants to move through you and into the world.

  • At the midpoint, we slow down. This week is devoted to integration, reflection, and refinement through individual 1:1 sessions with Soraya.

You’ll tend what’s emerging, receive personalized support, and prepare to bring clearer form and direction into the second half of the container.

This pause is intentional so nothing meaningful is rushed or carried forward unconsciously.

  • Explore the inner and inherited narratives that shape your sense of worth, visibility, and capacity. Identify resistance, release stories that no longer serve you, and begin re-storying your work in alignment with the world you want to help create. This week is about courage, honesty, and transformation.

  • Explore branding as relationship, communication as bridge building, and sharing as abundance, while navigating the shadow work of visibility.

Deepen your understanding of collective nervous system literacy, refine your language and presence, and learn practicing being seen without self-abandonment or performance.

  • Build or refine the systems, language, and practices that support sustainable creation and aligned action. This week is about translating ideas into form, maintaining integrity, and cultivating structures that hold your work, your values, and your energy.

  • Share what has emerged and celebrate your growth with the cohort. Participants choose a final deliverable: your roadmap, a sample offering, a creative project, or a combination, that reflects your process and gifts. This week is about ownership, expansion, and stepping into the next chapter with courage and clarity.

“…thank you Soraya , for always creating the space to bring others with you, & holding the space for us to expand in our own ways and within our own timing.

Thank you for speaking to the artist within me and encouraging those gifts to breathe and birth in new & profound ways during our time together. For creating the space to deepen my own practice with yoga both as a teacher and a student, and to allow access to witness you in those same roles.

About Soraya Latiff

Meet Your Guide: Soraya Latiff

Soraya Latiff (she/her) is a liberatory wellness guide offering yoga, Pilates, somatic coaching, and mentorship to creatives, wellness entrepreneurs, and spiritual practitioners seeking to align their work with their gifts, values, and long-term vision.

She is a somatic artist and the founder of In Movement There Is Blessing International Liberatory Yoga and Wellness Retreats, Sovereign Pilates in Denver’s historic Five Points neighborhood, and the creator of liberatory yoga and Pilates frameworks that weave classical training, lineage awareness, radical imagination, and embodied liberation.

For over a decade, Soraya has supported hundreds of students community members, primarily people of color and Black women, at the intersections of healing, creativity, and collective change. Her work across communities, schools, and cultural spaces has responded to climate injustice, racial inequity, mental health advocacy, immigrant rights, narrative reclamation under colonization, and the healing of generational trauma.

An entrepreneur from a young age, Soraya has led and co-founded several community organizations and built values-aligned businesses and offerings in spaces where few blueprints have existed, often as the only Black, Brown, and Indigenous woman in the room or institution.

Through this lived experience, she has cultivated the capacity to build, lead, and remain in integrity even when support, visibility, or safety were not guaranteed.

Rooted in ancestral reverence and informed by her own internal work healing from complex PTSD, Soraya supports participants in reclaiming agency, creating aligned structures, and bringing offerings into the world with care and clarity, especially during times of grief, transition, and global uncertainty.

A TEDx speaker, two-time lululemon Ambassador, and former Faculty Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, Soraya has led sold-out international retreats, opened arts-based businesses serving frontline communities during COVID-19, and exhibited work in museums and cultural institutions.

She has trained multiple cohorts of women of color as trauma-informed space holders and taught, mentored and learned and lived alongside people in different communities globally leading change through their gifts.

Through mentorship, workshops, and retreats, Soraya blends movement, ritual, creativity, and radical imagination to help people build practices, offerings, and businesses rooted in sovereignty, imagination, and liberatory values.

“Soraya has this beautiful gift of seeing all versions of you while still meeting you exactly where you are. As a mentee…it felt exciting and expansive to be held exactly as I was, while simultaneously being seen in more expansive ways.

Her intentionality and presence through our time together is both impressive and admirable - she is, exactly who she says she is.

I’m great-full for the experience & knowledge of what it takes to build something as powerful, healing & magnetic as her retreats, I’m the most great-full to have experienced her as a human being, doing really dope and important work…it is and always will be an honor to have been a part of Soraya’s team.” -LA

“Working with Soraya through yoga teacher training, yoga classes and one-on-one mentorship has been a deeply rewarding and immeasurably valuable experience.

She is a truly gifted teacher and space holder!

I’m continually amazed by her ability to not only help people feel seen and heard but also generously sharing her insightful and expansive knowledge.

I still refer back to the detailed notes and references Soraya provided after our mentorship session, many months later, because there is still so much to unpack.

She has helped shift my perspective in such a profound way that it has not only made me a better teacher and space holder, but also a better human.” - WA

“I’ve had the privilege of sharing space and learning from Soraya in many ways: her yoga classes, how to hold sacred circles, spiritual practice mentorship, yoga teacher trainings and social justice work in schools.

Every experience with her has taught me the power of true presence and intention.

She has seen me in ways I’m still learning to see myself. Soraya’s trauma informed approach has not only deepen my practice but also helped me hold space for others with love and dignity.

She’s reminded me of my own magic and shown me how to bring liberation and connection to my work.

Every time I’m in her presence Soraya helps me connect with ancestors, sacred medicine and the collective path to healing.

She constantly reminds me that I am worthy of the this practice of love, and of healing. I’m forever grateful for her guidance and light” - NV

“I reached out to Soraya after experiencing her practice and the way she practiced stewardship that I’ve not seen in other spaces including spaces of color in wellness and education as an elder in those spaces myself.

She walks with humility and wisdom beyond many I have met and she consulted for me on my wellness work and a business idea as I was working to connect more deeply with my ancestors and the values I actually cared about and not just what had been taught to me and what I realized I was still perpetuating.

She is a gift of our lifetime. To know her, let alone get to call her your teacher.

I use my notes from her one consulting session with me (she was so generous to give me a write up after) more than anything else I refer to regularly. In whatever way I can work with her I try to. She is rare and necessary, understanding and kind and people like her should be protected as they call us all higher simply by how they walk and that is also not always an easy or popular path” - MM
